New Bright BURGUNDY in traditional IKAT fabric. Super soft and comfortable these are a medium weight fabric as compared to our normal very light weight handloom and Indian pants. They run slightly wider than our Indian wrap pant. Ikat means "to tie" or "to bind" it is an extremely complex form of handloom weaving that uses a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye. IKAT is a demonstration of the highest weaving skills. Every single piece of yarn in Ikat carries on it the detail of the larger pattern seen on the finished cloth. The pattern is measured out and dyed on individual yarn before being loaded into the hand loom. They are unisex and versatile and can be used for yoga, meditation, Tai Chi or just comfy everyday wear. And as a wrap around pant are flexible in sizing. Men are encouraged to buy one size up.
